Friday, 23 October 2026 · Brussels · From 18:30

We are delighted to invite you to the next gathering of the Belgian NextGen of Demeures Historiques & Jardins de Belgique, which I will have the pleasure of coordinating.

We will have the privilege of gathering at the Maison Frère-Orban, Rue Ducale 23, 1000 Brussels, a remarkable late-18th-century neoclassical residence, situated opposite the Parc Royal. The house was built in 1779 and was the family home of Walthère Frère-Orban, one of Belgium’s most influential 19th-century statesmen.

Many thanks to Guy de Selliers for hosting us and opening the doors of this remarkable family home to the NextGen.

Programme
18:30 — Welcome & guided visit
A private guided visit of the Maison Frère-Orban, discovering its architecture, history and the story of the house and its former inhabitants.

19:30 — Belgian NextGen kick-off meeting
A hybrid meeting at the house to reconnect, exchange ideas and kick-start the Belgian NextGen chapter anew, with a view to building an active network and programme for the coming years.

20:30 — Drinks & bites
We will continue informally at Place des Libertés for drinks and bites.
